Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Prepare the ingredients
Rinse the tilapia fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Shred the cheddar cheese. Mince the garlic. Zest and juice the lemon.
Arrange the tilapia and broccoli
Place the tilapia fillets in the prepared baking dish. Arrange the broccoli florets around the fillets.
Make the cheese sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
Pour the sauce over the tilapia
Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the tilapia fillets and broccoli.
Bake the dish
Bake the Cheesy Tilapia Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Serve
