Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish and line with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, pumpkin puree, and eggs until well combined.
Gradually stir the melted chocolate mixture into the pumpkin mixture. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
