In a food processor, pulse the flour, butter, sugar, egg, and salt until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the dough evenly into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let stand for 1 minute.

Pour the chocolate ganache into the cooled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the ganache is set.
Remove the tart from the pan and slice into 8 wedges. Serve chilled.
