Read instructions and get ready to cook

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Cook the bacon

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and chop it into small pieces.

Prepare the garlic

Mince the garlic cloves.

Make the sauce

In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.
