Read instructions and get ready to cook
Cook the pasta
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the sauce
Chop the onion and mince the garlic. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the tomatoes and seasonings
