Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the macaroni
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 16 oz of elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the macaroni and set aside.
Prepare the cheese sauce
In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour and whisk constantly for 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture turns light golden brown.
Add milk and seasonings
