Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
In another bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (softened) and 3/4 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, into the butter and sugar mixture.
Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Stir in 1 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Roughly chop 1 cup of almonds.
Gently fold the chopped almonds into the batter.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
While the muffins are baking, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of water until smooth.
Once the muffins are slightly cooled, drizzle them with the almond glaze.
Allow the glaze to set before serving the muffins.
