Read instructions and get ready to cook
Cook pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
Prepare asparagus
Wash asparagus and trim tough ends. Cut into 2-inch pieces.

Cook asparagus
