Read instructions and get ready to cook

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Prepare the shrimp

Peel and devein the shrimp. Pat them dry with paper towels and season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

Prepare the garlic and lemon

Mince the garlic cloves. Zest and juice the lemon.

Sauté the shrimp

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the garlic and spinach

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Add the spinach and cook, stirring occasionally, until it wilts, about 2-3 minutes.

Combine the ingredients

Add the cooked pasta, sautéed shrimp, lemon zest, lemon juice, remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the skillet with the spinach. Toss gently to combine, adding some of the reserved pasta cooking water if needed to thin the sauce.

Serve

Divide the Pasta with Shrimp and Spinach among four serving plates and serve hot.
