Prepare pan
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
Combine sugars and milk
In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and milk. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Add butter and peanut butter
Add butter and peanut butter to the saucepan. Stir until the butter has melted and the mixture is smooth.
Boil and stir
Continue to boil the mixture, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
Pour into pan
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Chill fudge
Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
Cut into squares
Using the parchment paper overhang, lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into 1-inch squares using a sharp knife.
Serve
Serve the fudge at room temperature. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
