Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the ramekin
Lightly grease a 4-inch ramekin or oven-safe cup with oil.
Prepare the spinach
If using fresh spinach, wash thoroughly. If using frozen spinach, thaw and squeeze out excess water. Chop the spinach.
Prepare the garlic
Peel and mince the garlic.
Prepare the cheese
Grate the cheese if not already shredded. Set aside 2 tablespoons for topping.
Cook the spinach
In a small skillet over medium heat, cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add spinach and cook until wilted and excess moisture evaporates, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Mix the filling
In a bowl, combine the spinach mixture, cream, salt, pepper, and most of the cheese. Mix well.
Fill the ramekin
Transfer the mixture to the prepared ramekin. Sprinkle the reserved cheese on top.
Bake
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden, and the edges are bubbling.
Serve
Let cool for 2-3 minutes. Serve warm in the ramekin.
