Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Prepare the Apples
Wash 4 whole apples. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the apples very thinly, aiming for uniform thickness to ensure even baking. Remove the seeds from the slices.
Season the Apple Slices
Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. If desired, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cinnamon over the slices for added flavor.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1.5 hours, flipping the slices halfway through, until the apple slices are dried out and crisp. Baking time may vary depending on the thickness of the slices and the type of apple used.
Cool and Serve
Remove the apple chips from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheets. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later.
