Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat oven and prepare loaf pan
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Combine dry ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar
In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, using an electric mixer or a whisk.
Add eggs and vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Mash bananas
In a separate bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix until well combined. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
Chop walnuts and fold into batter
Roughly chop the walnuts into smaller pieces. Fold the chopped walnuts into the batter.
Pour batter into loaf pan
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake the bread
Bake the Banana Walnut Bread for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
