Steps

Read instructions and get ready to cook

1
Prepare the bell peppers

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Place the bell peppers in a baking dish and set aside.

2
Cook the rice

In a small saucepan, cook the rice according to package instructions. Set aside.

3
Prepare the vegetables

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

4
Cook the beef mixture

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and no longer pink, about 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

5
Add the remaining ingredients

Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

6
Stuff the bell peppers

Spoon the beef mixture into the bell peppers, filling them to the top. Cover the baking dish with foil.

7
Bake the stuffed peppers

Bake the stuffed peppers for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of each pepper. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8
Let it rest and serve

Remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
