Steps

Read instructions and get ready to cook

1
Rinse quinoa

Rinse the quinoa under cold running water in a fine-mesh strainer.

2
Cook quinoa

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the quinoa is tender and has absorbed the liquid, about 15-20 minutes.

3
Prepare parsley

While the quinoa cooks, finely chop the fresh parsley.

4
Fluff quinoa

When the quinoa is done, remove the saucepan from heat and let it stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff the quinoa with a fork.

5
Add butter and seasonings

Add the butter, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to the quinoa. Stir until the butter is melted and the ingredients are evenly distributed.

6
Serve

Transfer the buttered quinoa to a serving bowl and serve hot as a side dish.
