Read instructions and get ready to cook
Prepare the chicken
Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
Brown the chicken
Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add drumsticks and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the vegetables
Peel and dice the onion. Peel and slice the carrots. Mince the garlic. Core and roughly chop the cabbage.
