Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Prepare Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 2 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Heat Milk and Butter
In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of unsalted butter until the butter melts and the mixture is warm to the touch.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Add the warm milk mixture to the flour mixture along with 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
Knead Dough
Gradually add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour, kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Prepare Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture
In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon.
Shape Bread
Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough. Cut the dough into squares, stack them, and place them into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Second Rise
Cover the loaf pan with a cloth and let the dough rise again until puffy, about 30 minutes.
Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
Cool and Serve
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Pull apart the pieces to serve.
