Read instructions and get ready to cook
Warm the Milk and Melt Butter
In a small pot, heat milk gently until warm (not hot). Add butter to melt and stir.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
Add Wet Ingredients
Crack egg into the flour mixture. Add warm milk-butter mix. Mix into a dough.
Knead the Dough
Knead dough for 7–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
Preheat and Prep Cones
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Wrap metal cone molds in foil and lightly grease.
Shape the Cones
Divide dough into 6 parts. Roll each into a rope. Wrap spirally around molds, pinching ends to seal.
Bake the Cones
Place cones on baking sheet. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool 5 mins.
Brush and Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
Melt butter. In a bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar. Brush warm cones with butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
