Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Cake Pan
Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Cream Butter and Sugar
In a separate bowl, beat 3/4 cup of unsalted butter with 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
