Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Zest the orange and squeeze 2 tablespoons of juice.
Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Mix in the orange zest and juice.
Fold in the dried cranberries.
Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
