Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Prepare the ingredients
Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Mince the garlic. Zest and juice the lemon. Chop the dill leaves. Grate the Parmesan cheese.
Make the sauce
In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a simmer. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese.
Prepare the topping
In a bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, remaining 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped dill. Mix well.
Assemble the dish
Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the cream sauce evenly over the fillets. Sprinkle the breadcrumb topping over the sauce. Dot the top with pieces of unsalted butter.
Bake the casserole
Bake the Creamy Salmon Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
Serve
Remove the casserole from the oven. Squeeze lemon juice over the top. Serve hot.
