Prepare the filling
Shred the cheddar cheese. Finely chop the onion and green bell pepper.
Prepare the cube steak
Place the cube steak between two sheets of plastic wrap. Using a meat mallet, pound the steak until it is about 1/4-inch thick.
Fill and roll the steak
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and chopped green bell pepper evenly over the pounded cube steak. Roll the steak up tightly, starting from one of the long sides. Secure the roll with toothpicks.
Prepare the breading station
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
Bread the steak roll
Dredge the steak roll in the seasoned flour mixture, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs. Make sure the roll is evenly coated on all sides.
Fry the steak roll
Heat the oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the breaded steak roll in the hot oil and fry for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Drain and serve
Remove the Crispy Country Fried Steak Roll from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let it cool for a few minutes, then remove the toothpicks and slice the roll into 1-inch pieces. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as gravy or ranch dressing.
