These tender and juicy filet mignon steaks are pan-seared to perfection and finished with a rich and savory balsamic glaze. The glaze is made with balsamic vinegar, honey, and garlic, which reduces down to a syrupy consistency and coats the steaks with a delicious sweet and tangy flavor. Serve with your favorite sides for an elegant and impressive dinner.

1
Prepare steaks

Pat steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.

2
Sear steaks

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add steaks, cook until browned, 3-4 min per side for medium-rare. Transfer to a plate, tent with foil.

3
Make glaze

Mince garlic. In same skillet, add vinegar, honey, garlic, thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper. Simmer until reduced by half, 5-6 min.

4
Glaze steaks

Return steaks to skillet, cook 1 min per side, spooning glaze over top.

5
Rest and serve

Transfer steaks to a cutting board. Let rest 5 min before slicing. Serve with remaining glaze.
