Steps
Read instructions and get ready to cook
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare pastry
Roll out puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut one sheet into a large triangle for the tree, and cut stars from the other sheet.
Create tree branches
Make horizontal cuts along both sides of the triangle, leaving the center intact, to create tree branches.
Spread pesto
Spread pesto sauce over the tree and star shapes, leaving a small border around the edges.
Add tomatoes
Halve cherry tomatoes and arrange them on the tree and stars.
Sprinkle cheese and seeds
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and mixed seeds over the pastries.
Prepare egg wash
Beat the egg and brush it over the exposed pastry edges.
Season
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the pastries.
Bake
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Serve
Let cool slightly before serving. Arrange the tree and stars on a serving platter.
