Prepare pan

Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Make base layer

In a double boiler, melt 0.5 cup butter. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.

Add egg to base

Whisk egg in a small bowl. Slowly add to the chocolate mixture, stirring constantly until thickened.

Finish base mixture

Remove from heat. Stir in graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and chopped almonds.

Press base into pan

Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Chill in the refrigerator.

Prepare middle layer

In a bowl, cream 0.25 cup butter. Mix in custard powder, milk, and vanilla.

Add powdered sugar

Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

Spread middle layer

Spread the custard mixture over the chilled base. Return to the refrigerator.

Prepare top layer

In a double boiler, melt remaining butter and chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.

Pour the melted chocolate over the custard layer, spreading evenly.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
