Read instructions and get ready to cook

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Poach the salmon

While the pasta is cooking, place the salmon fillet in a deep skillet and add enough water to cover the fish. Bring the water to a simmer over medium heat and cook the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until it easily flakes with a fork. Remove the salmon from the water and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the sauce ingredients

Zest and juice the lemon. Mince the garlic cloves. Finely chop the parsley leaves. Grate the Parmesan cheese.

Make the sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Flake the salmon

Using a fork, flake the poached salmon into bite-sized pieces, removing any skin or bones.

Combine the ingredients

Add the cooked pasta, flaked salmon, and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta and salmon evenly, adding some of the reserved pasta cooking water if needed to thin the sauce.

Serve

Divide the Pasta with Salmon among four serving plates. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
