Steps

Read instruction and ready to cook

1
Thaw the puff pastry

Remove the puff pastry sheet from the freezer and allow it to thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2
Boil the potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Place the cubes in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

3
Prepare the vegetables

Finely chop the onion. Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger.

4
Cook the filling

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the boiled potatoes and frozen peas. Mash the mixture with a fork or potato masher until well combined. Remove from heat and let cool.

5
Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

6
Assemble the pinwheels

Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out slightly to even the edges. Spread the cooled potato mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Roll the pastry tightly, starting from the long edge, to form a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slices.

7
Bake the pinwheels

Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

8
Serve

Remove the Samosa Pinwheels from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
