Read instructions and get ready to cook
Prepare potatoes
Wash and thinly slice potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
Season steak
Pat the rib eye dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Sear steak
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Remove steak
Transfer the steak to a plate and let it cool slightly.
Prepare potato mixture

Crust steak
