Prepare Ingredients
Mince 2 cloves of garlic. Dice 1 medium onion and 1 medium green bell pepper.
Cook Beef
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
Add Vegetables
To the skillet, add the minced garlic, diced onion, and green bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Mix Sauce
Stir in 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1/2 cup of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Simmer the mixture until thickened, about 10 minutes.
Serve
Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of 4 hamburger buns. Cover with the top halves and serve immediately.
