Steps

Read instructions and get ready to cook

1
Marinate the steak

Season the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and rub the seasoning and oil into the meat. Set aside to marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.

2
Grate the cucumber

Grate the cucumber using a box grater. Squeeze out the excess liquid using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

3
Mince the garlic

Mince the garlic cloves finely.

4
Zest and juice the lemon

Zest the lemon using a microplane or fine grater. Cut the lemon in half and juice it, removing any seeds.

5
Chop the herbs

Finely chop the fresh dill and mint leaves.

6
Prepare the yogurt sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, chopped mint, and the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.

7
Grill the steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired.

8
Rest the steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.

9
Slice the steak

Slice the steak against the grain into 1/2-inch thick strips.

10
Serve

Arrange the sliced steak on a serving platter and drizzle the yogurt sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
