Prepare tomatoes

Wash the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry. Cut a thin slice off the top of each tomato and scoop out the seeds and pulp using a small spoon or melon baller. Place the hollowed-out tomatoes on a serving platter.

Chop herbs

Finely chop the fresh basil and chives. Set aside.

Peel and mince the garlic clove. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, soften the cream cheese by stirring it with a fork until smooth.
